About The Culture and Risk Collective

Who We Are

The Culture and Risk Collective was founded in 2026 by Natalie Thewlis.

Natalie’s work is rooted in a deep belief that people and performance should never be at odds. Her career began at 16, balancing part-time work alongside full-time education; an early experience that shaped her understanding of responsibility, resilience, and the realities of working life from the ground up.

After graduating from the University of Manchester with a degree in English, Natalie stepped into the world of hospitality, initially without a clear long-term plan but quickly found her place in leadership. She progressed from Supervisor to General Manager within a successful hospitality brand, leading businesses with turnovers exceeding £2 million. It was here that she developed her commercial instinct, operational sharpness, and a grounded, people-first leadership style in high-pressure environments.

Over time, Natalie became increasingly drawn to the why behind performance...what drives behaviour, shapes culture, and creates either risk or resilience within organisations. This led her to transition into Human Resources, specialising in Employee Relations and HR Business Partnering.

In 2025, she completed a Master’s degree in Strategic HR Management, focusing on multi-generational engagement and how organisations can evolve to meet the changing expectations of Gen Z and the emerging Gen Alpha workforce.

Today, Natalie blends commercial insight with human-centred thinking, helping organisations move beyond reactive HR and into intentional culture and risk design. Her work bridges the gap between operational reality and deeper transformation, supporting businesses to build environments where people can perform, belong, and grow sustainably.

Our Purpose

At The Culture & Risk Collective, our purpose is to reshape the way people experience work, today and for the next generation.

We exist to help organisations create environments where people feel safe to contribute, valued for who they are, and supported to grow, because when people thrive, so does performance.

We believe culture and risk are not opposing forces, but two parts of the same system. When workplaces are built on trust, clarity and fairness, risk reduces naturally, leadership strengthens, and better decisions are made consistently and sustainably.

This work is also deeply personal. As a parent, Natalie is driven by a simple but powerful belief that the workplaces we build today are the ones our children will inherit tomorrow. Preparing the next generation for work matters, but so does ensuring the world of work is ready for them.

Through a blend of practical HR expertise, leadership development, and the Pantheon Framework, we support organisations and individuals to move beyond reactive ways of working and into cultures that are intentional, resilient, and built for the future.

Our goal is not just better workplaces, but more human ones, where people and organisations evolve, succeed, and grow together across generations.
